The Conflicting commands message can appear because the program controlling the hardware is busy. Close all open dialogs and try again.
It could be that the program is running in the background if Retry would fail. Reboot the PC if you cannot solve it via End task.
Finally it can be that you have contradicting settings, in which case you have to change those before you can proceed.
