NO COMMUNICATION The illustration to the right shows the error message that appears when the computer program has not detected the machine. This for example happens when the machine is not powered.
You need to go further in detail if it would happen even though the machine is connected to the computer with the USB cable and powered on.
NEVER ESTABLISHED COMMUNICATION We ask you to check that "USB Serial Port" appears/disappears in Windows Device Manager (found in Windows Control Panel), when you connect/disconnect the USB cable. The machine has in the example shown to the right been connected to COM5.
It could be that you need to reinstall the drivers if you cannot see that the machine has been connected. Reinstalling the BOS package as Administrator (or Administrator rights) if you suspect that this is the case. Make sure that driver install is completed and not skipped for security reasons.
Camera TWO drivers are needed, one for the machine and one for the camera (in the machine). We recommend that you have the sound switched on and check that you hear two signals when you power on the machine.
We ask you to check that the camera driver "WebCam 160" appears/disappears as it should in the Device Manager under "Sound, video and game controllers" if you would not hear two sound signals when the machine is powered (with the USB cable connected).
Communication problems with the camera are further explained on a separate page.
